The time for college searching has come. With many possibilities and opportunities to make a wrong decision, it is a confusing time. If I could, I wouldn't go to college. I would stay home for another year or so, and work until I could afford my own place in Hawaii. But what would I do once I got there? I know I am going to run my own business, but I don't know how. Getting my Associates degree in business is what I am going to do. Then I will decide where to go from there. Should I finish up my four years in Hawaii? That would leave me time to search for property and map out my plan. I would be in it all by myself though, and that is definitely something I don't want to do.
I stayed home from school today (probably not the wisest decision, but I was tired :P). I was sitting at the dining room table with my mom like we usually do while we chat about things and she told me how lucky I am. How I have the world in front of me with endless possibilities. She looked a little sad while she said this. I wish I could tell her the same. She would love to move to Hawaii also. She gets emotional even talking about moving there. We went on vacation to Kauai a few years ago and cried when we had to leave. We seriously considered ditching everything at home and becoming beach bums. Then reality hit us and we had to go home. All of us will end up there someday again.
I feel like I have so many years ahead of me, but still not enough to do all that I want. I want to find love, get married. I want to train horses, while making a business out of the tourism industry in Hawaii. I want to travel the world, finish my book, become a famous writer! I want to sing in front of millions of people, I want to bring God into the lives of those who don't believe He exists. I want to make a difference in the world, even if it is so small, only a few people notice.
The Many Dreams of Me

Water
I am a dreamer. I am a dreamer of many things. I dream of life and possibilities. I dream of a future with a loving husband and my family. I dream of a beautiful life in a place where the weather is almost as warm as the smiles of the people that live there. The blue water will be my refuge. I will swim every day in the warm glittering waves as the underwater world beneath me stirs at my presence. I will dance with the fish and dive beneath the surface of a world that I don't belong in, and into a world that I do. The land is full of tolerance for those that are with the world, and hatred for those that are against it's evil. The water is forgiving. The water holds no judgment. Where as when you fall on the land, you get up dirty, you are clean after you fall into the water. I think God and I have a very loving relationship with the water. Why would have God almost completely covered the Earth in water if he didn't love it? He could have thrown the fish and creatures of the sea, onto the rough, spiteful bitterness that is the land. Instead, he hid them under the soft caress of the ocean's waves.
I think my dreams are like other's in many ways. I believe everyone has their own unique relationship with the ocean and it's creatures. We all must learn to live as one and take care of one another. The land can learn a lot from the Sea. If only it would stop and listen.
